What’s considered a dental emergency?

Our definition of a dental emergency is any situation that requires immediate care to save a tooth, alleviate pain, treat an infection, or stop uncontrolled bleeding in the mouth. If your situation is life-threatening, please visit the ER immediately.

Will a toothache go away on its own?

Always seek help for a toothache right away. Those who “grin and bear it” sometimes find that their toothache eventually starts to lessen. But this doesn’t mean the problem is solved. In fact, the pain will eventually return — and often much worse than before. The longer you wait, the more damage (and discomfort) you risk.

Are dental emergencies covered by insurance?

It depends on the dental insurance plan you have. Some PPO dental insurances do cover the cost of some of the emergency care. Our team is happy to review your benefits package and help you understand the estimated cost.
