What to expect during your dental exam and cleaning
At neighbor dental, your teeth cleaning begins with one of our skilled hygienists. During the cleaning, we’ll:

Examine your teeth and gums and ask you about any concerns you may have

Gently remove plaque and tartar buildup around your gum line and teeth

Scrub your teeth using a high-powered electric brush and professional toothpaste

Floss your teeth, removing any leftover plaque or toothpaste

Rinse your smile clean and apply a professional fluoride treatment to help protect your teeth from cavities
After your cleaning, you’ll meet with one of our expert Laurel dentists, who will examine your teeth, gums, and other oral tissues.
At neighbor dental, we utilize a high-tech digital scanner to obtain a digital model of every patient’s teeth. This provides a visual aid as we work with you to discuss your oral health and evaluate treatment options.
New to neighbor dental? Get your first dental exam for $99
You can schedule your first visit with us for just $99. Your first appointment will include:
- A thorough exam
- Any necessary x-rays including a complete bite series
- A comprehensive treatment plan if problems are detected
For an extra $50 you can also get a professional cleaning!

We offer cleanings and exams to patients of all ages. Providing compassionate, high-quality dental care to people in their earliest years is the best way to set them up for healthy smiles for the rest of their lives. If you have a young child, we can work with you to ensure they get the ongoing, comprehensive care they deserve.
I don’t have insurance. Can I still get regular cleanings and exams?
We believe that everyone deserves to have access to quality dental care. That’s why we offer our Good Neighbor plan. Individuals and families can receive comprehensive care, including regular cleanings, exams, x-rays, and more, starting at just $1/day or $365/year. Learn more.
